Maiva's love of photography began during an overland trip from Singapore to London in 1975. In particular she loves to look through a macro lens at the world in close up, or through a wide-angle lens at the world at large.

Maiva was an early convert to digital capture and has enjoyed learning the intricacies of digital image processing. Maiva and husband Mike have taken their cameras to some of Australia's wildest destinations and are now exploring the world's exotic places including Antarctica and South America.

Maiva feels the digital age has opened up a wealth of creative possibilities that she is exploring enthusiastically.
