In 1983, when John majored in photography and ultimately graduated with honours from an Art Certificate Course he didn't realise just how much photography would become a part of his life.

John chose not to follow a career in photography but finds he can put his photographic skills to good use in his chosen profession of cartography and graphic design, a three way mix that blends perfectly.

Like all the Dags, he relishes the special light found in the Australian Outback and takes every opportunity to head bush with his cameras. As can be seen from some of the images below he particularly enjoys working in monochrome.
